Monday, Dec 23: Breakdancing Santa and Cookie Decorating
Swing by the Village Commons Skating Rink and watch Santa break it down from 3pm to 4pm or head over to 6311 to decorate some freshly made sugar cookies by our very own pastry chef. With lots of sprinkles and icings to choose from it will be easy to let your artistic side out while enjoying the holiday cheer.
Tuesday Dec 24: Santa’s Arrival – Skate from 3-4pm, Santa from Tram @ 4:30pm
Join us at 3pm to ice skate with Santa on Teton Village’s ice-skating rink! Then head over to the Tram Dock around 4:30 PM for a very exciting arrival and welcome the holiday season right! Please bring any last-minute letters for Santa Claus. There will be a box for kids to drop their letters into located by the Tram.
Wednesday, Dec 25: Ski with Santa 10am-1pm
Santa is a pretty solid intermediate skier these days thanks to our friends at the Mountain Sports School! Seek him out around Teewinot and the base of the Gondolas around 10am, or find him on the hill afterward on Après Vous and Casper! He’ll be skiing around until 12 pm.
Thursday, Dec 26: Snow Cats and Avalanche Dogs
A behind-the-scenes look at the resort’s coolest stuff. Everybody wants to meet an avalanche dog and handler, then you mix that with a tour of a snow cat and you’ve covered it all – big trucks, cool dogs, and safety.
Friday, Dec 27: Family Scavenger Hunt
Download the JH Insider app to participate in our WinterFest Scavenger Hunt! A clue will drop at 10am for a chance to find elves hidden throughout the Ski area. Prize to be redeemed at JH Sports & Teton Village Sports.
Saturday, Dec 28: Family Sledding Evening
Join us from 4:30-5:30 pm for some mellow sledding on sleds provided by JHMR. Glide across the slope on a slow pitch between Bridger and Sweetwater. The sled area will be roped off and for one night only sledding in the designated area will be permitted.
Sunday, Dec 29: Free Skate Night & Hot Cocoa
Grab the family and join us for a night of gliding around under the Wyoming winter sky with free hot cocoa! Offering free skate rentals for this special occasion or you can bring your own.
Monday, Dec 30: Raptor Center Demo
Stop by our events tent, located across the trail from Tram Dock, and learn about local birds of prey with the Teton Raptor Center, a nonprofit organization advancing raptor conservation through education, research, and rehabilitation.
Tuesday, Dec 31: New Year’s Eve Celebrations
This New Years’ tradition substitutes glow sticks for torch lights. All children are welcome to participate & no sign-up needed. We will load the Sweetwater Gondola from 4:30-5:15 and the parade will start at 5:30pm. Kids will finish at the base of Sweetwater Gondola. Come dressed in skis and boots (no poles please). Participation is free and parents are not required to accompany skiers but are welcome to join.
The Torchlight Parade (MSS Staff only) will begin shortly after the Glow Worm parade reaches the base of Sweetwater Gondola, at approximately 6pm, and fireworks will follow. Ring in the New Year in classic JHMR tradition!
Send off 2024 and welcome the new year with wish papers and free pizza and hot chocolate. Sponsored by the Jackson Hole Art Association, write down your aspirations for 2025 and manifest them into existence. Afterward, enjoy free skating at the Village Commons rink and fuel up at South Cable with pizza and hot chocolate.
